Apple protects its Logo

October 5th, 2009 by admin

Australian supermarket chain Woolworths might get a lawsuit from Apple’s resemblance to its new logo, which is presented in the form of a stylized letter W in the form of green apple.

Company Woolworths has registered a new logo in August 2008.

Inquiry about the similarity of trade marks was sent to the Australian Department of Intellectual Property (IP Australia), which should recognize the similarity of trade marks or disprove. If a positive response, Apple will have the right to sue.
